Applause! Presents:
It’s all Downhill, Edna! ~~ An Alpine Event with an Historical Bent
Sharpen and wax those alpine skis and be prepared for a very special mind-bending (and historical) downhill experience at beautiful Breckenridge Ski Resort. Geared for intermediate skiers and above, come when the mountain opens (8:30), and get in a few runs of free-skiing on Breck’s impeccably maintained terrain. Then head for Ten Mile Station on Peak 9 where you’ll meet up with local historian and experienced ski guide, Rick Hague. What follows will be an historic ski tour of the area with a focus on Breckenridge’s history as a town. This story will be told as you ski on and learn the history of the various runs ~~ truly an amazing blending of two tales. Following this historic, informative, and scenic ski tour you’ll head through the woods to the warmth of the fireside and beautiful ski in-ski-out Irwin residence. Here a hearty luncheon repast will await all fortunate (and famished) skiers. This event is truly “History in the Making”.
