2017 CALL TO ARTISTS

THE BRECKENRIDGE MUSIC FESTIVAL SEEKS ARTIST SUBMISSIONS FOR A REIMAGINED 2017 POSTER COMPETITION.

Art has the power to define a place, an abstract feeling or in this case, symbolize a classical music festival located in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. As artists, we ask you to help us reimagine a BMF in the future, while keeping in mind some of the core elements of the organization, such as timeless performances, artistic collaborations, and a uniquely beautiful location in the mountains. With music ranging from jazz and bluegrass to traditional and contemporary classical, our diverse musical experiences are as spectacular as the environment we present and produce them in.

Therefore, we are interested in works that convey some combination of the following elements and adjectives in an abstract or literal interpretation:

MUSIC                             MOUNTAINS
DANCE                            ADVENTURE
TIMELESS                        FRESH
IMAGINATIVE                 BRECKENRIDGE

Submissions are open to the following mediums: screen printing, photography, digital photography, digital printing, lithography, mixed media, pen and ink, painting

Deadline:  April 10, 2017, 5pm – Work must be delivered with the submission form (see below) to the Breckenridge Music Festival office, located at 217 South Ridge St. Alley Breckenridge, CO between Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Prize: Winner will be awarded $500, two season passes to Festival Orchestra concerts for the 2017 summer season (greater than $700 value), a featured bio in the program book and on the website, and a complimentary copy of the poster.
