“Cultural Odyssey” Chamber Music for Harp Party

Featuring Philadelphia Orchestra members, Elizabeth Hainen, Principal harp, Jeffrey Khaner, flute, and David DePeters, percussion.

Drawing inspiration from Murray Schafer’s “Crown of Ariadne” which retells the myths of Theseus, Ariadne and the Minotaur, one of the most eclectic programs of the season gathers chamber music from four rich cultures. Enchanting French works from two eras and Gershwin’s virtuosic Preludes complete the journey.

Post Concert, head down valley to the charming Silverthorne home of Fran and Barry Lazarus. Enjoy an array of wines, cheeses, hors d’oeuvres and desserts and a chance to meet and greet the musicians and friends, old and new.

“Taos Trio in Recital” Party

Featuring violinist, Carmelo de los Santos, clarinetist, Keith Lemmons, and pianist, Debra Ayers.

“Taos Trio in Recital” specializes in the trio repertoire written for clarinet, piano and strings. The diverse body of music spans the classical era to the present day, allowing programming for all levels of interest. This toe tapping program includes Slavic rhythms and folk tunes of Russia and Armenia, European cafe life selections and 1940′s Honky Tonk. A perfect program to set a happy tone for the upcoming Holidays!

Following the concert, head up Ski Hill Road towards Peak 8 to the delightful ambiance of the home of Sue and Nils Nelson. Meet the artists and friends and enjoy mouthwatering apps, desserts and plenty of your favorite beverages ~ perfect finale for this delightful evening!

A Classical Collaboration of Fine Music, Food and Wine

Jessica Medoff Bunchman — Soprano.

Currently making her mark as an admired performer in the classical crossover repertoire, Mrs. Medoff-Bunchman made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2007.  Jon Sobel of Blogcritics Magazine wrote, “Jessica Medoff Bunchman was perfectly spectacular.   If she doesn’t have a fan club, someone should start one.”  Jessica has performed a myriad of lead operatic roles with prestigious performing arts companies and has also appeared with both the Aspen and Breckenridge Music Festival orchestras.

Michael Bunchman — Piano

A native of Breckenridge, Michael has performed with the BMF Orchestra, the NRO, the Peabody Chamber Music Series, the Aspen Chamber Music Series, and the Northeast Theater Company in Scranton, Pa.  He has also performed as a soloist at the Thelma Medoff endowment concert at  New Mexico State University.  He is currently a member of the piano faculty at the Music Conservatory of Westchester.

Currently living in NYC, Jessica and Michael are thrilled to be back in Breckenridge to perform together for local, discriminating music lovers.  Their program will include favorite and familiar selections from Broadway and beyond.

The perfect venue for a pre-concert reception is the stunning Shock Hill home of Sharon and Jim Buzzell.  There a bountiful buffet of sumptuous hors d’oeuvres and desserts will tempt the palate.  Of course, fine wines will flow abundantly.  — Don’t miss this elegant evening of the classics!

A Bayou Event with a New Orleans Jazz Bent

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band has travelled the world since 1961, nurturing and sharing the art form of New Orleans jazz.  On July 1st, as part of the BMF’s fabulous Blue River Concert Series, this legendary group of musicians will be appearing at our very own Riverwalk Center.  Be sure to get your tickets now for what promises to be a sellout event!

Pre-concert, you’ll not want to miss our Applause! Bayou Bash held on the lovely grounds of the historic Barney Ford home and museum.  There’ll be a fine spread of New Orleans inspired hors d ‘oeuvres and desserts to enjoy and lots of lovely liquid libations too.  Here’s a perfect chance to eat, drink, and be merry with old friends and new before the concert.  Then it’s a few short steps across the Blue to enjoy the best of the best of this traditional and regional art form. — Don’t miss this very special evening!
