Event Description

Join us at Arapaho Basin for a fun-filled morning of skiing (or shredding!) Later, we’ll gather for lunch in our own private setting, followed by presentations from venerable local ski industry and Olympic experts, Dan Taylor and Jon Kreamelmeyer. With the forthcoming 2018 Winter Olympics, these talks promise to be very timely!

Dan Taylor is PHD of Classics Emeritus at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and is trustee emeritus of the Summit County Library. A scholar and noted expert on the Olympics, Dan will sketch the history of the Olympic Games from their origin in ancient Greece to their rebirth in modern times.

Jon Kreamelmeyer is long-time Frisco resident and former head coach of the USA Paralympic Ski Team. During Jon’s tenure as coach, he led the team to a USA record of eight medals at the 2000 world championships and five medals at the 2000 Salt Lake Winter Olympics in Soldier Hollow, Utah. Jon will speak about his years of experience with the team, supplementing his talk with a fascinating video presentation. He was inducted into the Visa Paralympic Hall of Fame in 2014.

Thank you to MJ and Hans Wurster for organizing and helping to sponsor this special day!

$55 per skier (includes a $20 coupon for lunch and beverage, but not a lift ticket); $35 for lunch and presentation only; $250 for sponsorship (includes 2 reservations for the event)
