Tuesday Series Concerts

The Tuesday Series of the Summer Festival lineup features the artists of the Festival Orchestra performing programs chosen from among their recommendations of some of their favorite works and composers.

The chamber music setting offers audiences an intimate glimpse into the inner workings of music making, and creates some of the most enjoyable musical experiences for audiences and performers alike. The format of one player per part allows each musician’s individual voice and personality to shine. Many styles of music, from Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos to Brahms’ Piano Quintet, Schubert’s vocal lieder and Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” to Tchaikovsky’s sextet “Souvenir de Florence” make up the rich tradition of chamber literature, so Tuesday Series concerts always offer Festival audiences enjoyable variety.
