Applause!
Applause!, the special events fundraising committee of the Breckenridge Music Festival, hosts a variety of parties and functions to support the BMF. Through these social affairs Applause! volunteers provide a wonderful venue to strengthen the Summit County community and at the same time raise a substantial portion of the annual BMF budget. Everyone is invited to participate in our events and join Applause!
The Applause! committee is made up of dedicated volunteers who contribute their inexhaustible creative talents to design and carry out special events.
Summer and winter Bon Appétit themed parties form the centerpiece of fundraising activity. Held in private homes, these parties feature a wide range of activities including snowshoeing, tennis, concerts, or the annual Pig Roast. Whatever the theme, the excellent company, delicious food and welcoming hosts make the Bon Appétit parties the most eagerly anticipated social events in Summit County. Individually priced to fit the event, Bon Appétit parties are likely to sell out well in advance.
Larger events such as a Wine Tasting evening, Tea and Fashion Show, and annual Gala offer a chance to gather and celebrate as a larger community, without sacrificing any of the smaller events’ attractions of food, fun and good company.
If the strength of an arts organization is in its connection to the community that supports it, 
the Breckenridge Music Festival’s Applause! committee is a team of power lifters for the BMF. Creators Judy Stattine and Mary Beth Thorne, in naming the committee according to the suggestion of founding spirit Anne Stonington, have earned a standing ovation themselves, along with the many tireless volunteers who make Applause! events such a success since it was created in 1990.
Applause! membership is open to all, at just $50 annually for a family membership. Early notice by mailings and email of Applause! events is just one of the many good reasons to become a member. The numerous volunteer opportunities are also a great way to get involved.
