Featuring BMF Orchestra Musicians Michael Linville, Piano; James Holland, Cello; and Meghan Holland, Violin

Featuring a pair of works that helped define the Romantic ideal: Beethoven’s trio anticipates the more experimental Romantic period architectural forms, while exploring color and texture much more intensely than earlier, Classical piano trios. Schumann’s work remains at the pinnacle of the Romantic chamber music ideal in its scope and strength of melodic development.
